Getting Started

In Cases, you can manage Events that have been marked for review from your Workflow canvas.

It also shows analytics that are important to your workflows, letting you know from a quick glance how successful you are in reducing fraud and staying compliant.

It also allows you view and manage your cases.

Summary

On the case summary tab you can find analytics presented as charts and graphs that are important to your workflows.

It shows Pending, Settled, Blocked, Allowed and Reviewed cases. you will be able to view the total number of cases, total numbers of actions for the cases, and the total percentage of detection success.

The summary tab shows the breakdown of the cases into several parameters namely;

Settled cases: These are transactions that have already been resolved or that have no more disputes on them.

Pending cases: These are transactions that are awaiting a block or allow decision.

Blocked cases: These are transactions that a block decision has been taken, stopping from taking place.

Allowed cases: These are cases that an allow decision has been taking, allowing them to take place.

Reviewed cases: This shows the total number of cases that have been reviewed.

Below the summary cards, is a graph that shows the relationship between your pending and settled cases. Your Pending cases are denoted by the colour blue while your Settled cases are denoted by the colour grey.

You can filter through recent and older cases with the date range filter to view any patterns that may have occurred over time.

To do this, click on the date range arrow and select between the default Last three days, last week or last month. or the custom button you want to view its analytics.
You can also view past cases within a specific date range with the Custom button.

First, you click on the custom button.

A modal popup where you can then customize the date range you want, after this click on Search to view the graph on the selected date range
or you can click on the Reset button to reset your custom date range.

Tips

The date range process and description are also applicable for other case features like Cases and Actions under the summary tab

Cases

This is the section under the summary tab that shows the total number of cases and shows the percentage of this total that are pending and settled cases. You can use the date range format by clicking the arrow to view the records of past cases.

Actions

This is a section under the summary tab that shows the total number of actions that have been taken by you to reduce fraudulent transactions, showing the percentage of actions that were either taken Manually or Automatically. You can use the date range format by clicking the arrow to view the past records of actions taken.

Detection success

This is a section in the summary tab that shows the rate of fraud detection success in percentage.

Cases

Next is the Cases tab.
This tab shows the list of cases that have been flagged for review from your workflow canvas. It allows your Case Manager view information on transactions that have been flagged for review and make decisions to allow or block these transactions.

When you click on the Cases tab, it displays the list of cases that have been flagged by your workflow.
This list shows the Event Id, Status, Recommendation action:, Created on:, and the Use case of each transaction it contains.

When you click on any of the transactions in the Cases tab, you are presented with a Case Report that shows more information on that transaction so that you can make an informed decision on said case.

You can also make a decision to allow or block a pending case by clicking on the Decision button on the top right corner of the Case Report page.
After clicking on the Decision button a dropdown appears with the options to allow or block the transaction.

You can either select the allow or block option in the drop down. When you do this a modal pops up asking if you are sure you want to mark this transaction as settled. Click Yes or Cancel

Warning

You can only change the status of a case once i.e, you can either choose to allow or block a transaction once. This action is irreversible.

On the Case Report tab you can leave reasons or more context as to why you choose to allow or block a transaction for your team members or manager.
You can edit and post your comments in the comments input field.
After posting you can also choose to delete your comment.
