I’ve recently started reading more about Tasmania and would like to find books that cover the island’s history and culture from a more personal or academic perspective. While searching for Australian writers, I came across John Biggs and his personal site, https://johnbiggsau.com/, which introduced me to some of his work.

Has anyone here read his books? I’d also be interested in recommendations for other authors who write about Tasmania’s history, local communities and changing identity.
